Folio Communications Cybele DiamandopoulosCybele founded FOLIO in 2006, after spending 15+ years leading high-profile communications programs for a diverse range of technology, consumer and public sector organizations including ON Networks, Motive (now Alcatel-Lucent), Waveset (now Sun Microsystems), Tivoli/IBM, Samsung Austin, the City of Austin and the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

Career highlights include launching ON Networks, one of the first independent distributors and producers of original HD video content; spearheading media relations for Motive’s $50 million IPO; leading analyst and public relations for Waveset from startup through acquisition by Sun Microsystems; managing product launches, competitive programs and integrated marketing campaigns for Tivoli in the US, Europe and Latin America; and establishing Samsung Austin’s community relations and corporate giving programs.

Cybele graduated from The University of Texas and continues to pursue her passion for dance, music, architecture, travel and community service. She has been a Texas Venture Labs Investment Competition judge, is a Leadership Austin alumna (1998) and has held various board and volunteer positions with Big Brother/Big Sisters of Austin, Zachary Scott Theatre Center, Austin Entrepreneur’s Foundation and the Austin Children’s Shelter, among others.

David Gibbs

Folio Communications David GibbsDavid has more than 15 years of experience in tech public relations, marketing and corporate communications, including eight years at Hill+Knowlton Strategies where he played key roles on major accounts including VMware, Dell and Oracle. He has also led media relations, analyst relations and marketing efforts for a number of emerging tech companies including Gowalla, Volusion, NextIO and xMatters. Before joining H+K, David served on the PR teams for broadband management software provider Motive (acquired by Alcatel-Lucent) and telecom network services provider Broadwing (now Level 3). He brings deep expertise in messaging, media relations, crisis communications, public affairs, social media and analyst relations, as well as legislative affairs and political campaign strategy. David has an MBA from the University of Georgia, and a BBA in Finance & Economics from Baylor University. His passions include photography, baseball, hiking, camping, and exploring the National Parks and Big Bend area of Texas.
